Tonnette Black, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Tonnette has joined Dr. Holley and her team as a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Tonnette was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and she relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2012.  While working in labor and delivery, she discovered her love for educating women, particularly teens, on providing care for themselves before, during, and after pregnancy.  This led her to pursue an advanced-practice degree.

Tonnette’s academic background began with a B.S. in Biology from Jackson State University in 2006. Her nursing education was initially received in 2009 at Hinds Community College where she received an A.D.N.  Then in 2012, she obtained a B.S.N. from Mississippi University for Women, followed by an M.S.N. from the University of South Alabama in 2018.  During her college career she was the recipient of many academic awards and a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Tonnette resides with her husband and three children in Mansfield. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, dancing, and being active in the community.
